Tidify terms of use
These terms apply to your use of the Tidify app ("Tidify", "the app"), published by Halo Apps ("we", "us"). By downloading or using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. The terms of the store you downloaded Tidify from (Google Play or the Apple App Store, including Apple's standard licensed application end user licence agreement) also apply.
1. Licence
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Tidify on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use. You may not copy, modify, resell or redistribute the app, or reverse engineer it except where the law allows it. The app, its design and its content belong to Halo Apps or its licensors.
2. Deleting photos and videos
Tidify helps you decide which photos and videos to keep or delete. Nothing is deleted until you review the Bin and confirm, and your phone's system may ask you to confirm again. Please check carefully before confirming:
- Deletion is always started by you, and you are responsible for confirming which items are deleted.
- Items moved to the system trash (Android) or "Recently Deleted" (iOS) can usually be recovered for a limited time. Items deleted with the trash turned off, or after that period, may be gone permanently.
- Whether copies in cloud backups such as Google Photos or iCloud are also deleted depends on those services' settings, not on Tidify.
- We cannot recover deleted photos or videos for you. Keep a backup of anything important.
3. Free app with ads
Tidify is free to download, and every cleaning feature is free to use. The free version shows ads. Watching a rewarded ad is optional and temporarily removes ads. Please do not interfere with ads, for example by generating fake views or taps.
4. "Remove ads" purchase
- "Remove ads" is a one-time, non-consumable purchase. It removes ads from Tidify on devices signed in to the same Google Play or App Store account. It is not a subscription and does not renew.
- Payments are handled by Google Play or the App Store. Use "Restore purchases" in Settings if you reinstall the app or change device.
- Refunds are handled by the store under its refund policy. This does not affect your legal rights as a consumer.
- The purchase covers Tidify only, not other Halo Apps apps.
5. Privacy
Your photos and videos stay on your device. How the app handles data is explained in the Tidify privacy policy.
6. Updates and availability
We may update Tidify to add, change or remove features, fix problems or meet legal or store requirements. We may stop offering the app, but if we do, we will not remove a "Remove ads" purchase from a copy you already have installed. Some features depend on your device, its operating system and the permissions you grant.
7. No warranty
We work hard to make Tidify reliable, but it is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we do not promise that it will be error-free, uninterrupted or suitable for any particular purpose. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
8. Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for:
- the loss of photos, videos or other data that you chose to delete;
- losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, or business losses.
If defective digital content we supplied damages your device or other digital content because we did not use reasonable care and skill, you may be entitled to a remedy under consumer law. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.
9. Ending these terms
You can stop using Tidify at any time by uninstalling it. If you seriously break these terms, your licence to use the app ends.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when the app changes or the law requires it. We will publish the new version on this page with a new effective date. If you keep using the app after a change, the updated terms apply.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live in Scotland, Northern Ireland or another country, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts, and you keep any mandatory consumer protections of the place where you live.
